 The School Board, the Superintendent, and teachers union leadership have worked together every step of the way in designing and implementing the initiative. The ultimate goal of this project is to increase student achievement. It helps our school district attract, support, and retain the best teachers, and we know that ensuring that we have great teachers in all our classrooms is the best way to raise student achievement. Though the project is made possible through a major grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, this is a Hillsborough County initiative that is a collaborative effort between our school district and our teachers. We work together because we know that when students succeed, we all win.
